Fairfield Inn in Stillwater, Oklahoma
The hotel had no hot water, the little mini fridge in the room did not work, the bed had a massive fricking dent in the middle of it because the mattress was probably 100 years old, the continental breakfast in the morning did not have any eggs, waffles, bagels, etc., they were “out” of everything and the only thing they had was stale cereal.
Was there for a week, but only stayed for one night and checked out I went over to the courtyard

Before I retired, I was stationed at Edwards AFB, California. It was in the middle of the Mojave Desert away from everything.

Ramada or Red Roof?

Honestly I’ve enjoyed a lot of the places I have gone for work or potential interviews in the past.
Except El Paso. It was fine for a day, but I knew I didn’t want to move there when I got off the plane.
I can usually find something to do fun, but I’ve never been sent to a third world country.

Attics in N.O. in the summertime. Damn things getting upwards of 130 degrees with no air moving around, metal tools get too hot to pick up and sweat rolling down the body until it finally stops and it's time to get out and drink lots of fluids to get back up in the attic to work more.
Second worst is under raised houses dealing with cat crap and fleas while trying to get work done.

I didn't think there was a more remote place in California than Edwards until I went to Fort Irwin. In the middle of nowhere a long way from Barstow! I felt sorry for anyone stationed there.
