Mayor flies first class.. city looks and smells like arse.

Or your mayors last name is Lamumba. And the water system, sewer system, and trash pickup is FUBAR all at the same time.

This was every city in the 1970s and 1980s. Some came back only to collapse again in the last 2-3 years.

I’ve noticed a sharp decline in NYC since 2010 or so. San Francisco, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles too.

Shreveport has a new GOP Mayor, Tommy "Guns" Arceneaux, and he is on track to break all records for homicide rates in his first year in office. He is also presiding over a default in bonds and is about to announce increases in water rates that are already sky high. Shreveport just had an awful Dem Mayor, but the Repub successor is not off to a good start.

Nola has become highly reliant on tourism and conventions as the clown mayors with no real business accumen expand that sector. They want the flimsy veneer that comes with tourism and convention. Gambling, tee shirt shops, trinkets, food service and hotels are the game.

Nola, he’s done well with tourism for decades. post Covid, it has done really well with tourism.
Tourists will come but will they come BACK?

Nola; in the state it’s in, is not a place trourists will want to come back to. Too much grafitti, trash, smell, and general crime will deter return visitors.

So there is more to unfold in Nola with respect to tourism. I expect to see numbers drop off considerably in 2024 as conventions look for other areas less dirty and dangerous.

The convention sector has to be in major decline in NOLA due to crime and personal safety concerns. Companies aren't going to put their people and customer base in harm's way for conventions when safer, clean and more aesthetically pleasing venues are available.

Shipping our manufacturing base off shore certainly was not a good idea...except for the globalists.
