Native Americans is one of the stupidest PC terms out there. It is like if martians took over earth and called it shitholia we would feel better to be called shitholians.

Well Indians is a made up term by the “aliens,” so should we refer to them as their tribal factions?

GSRI peaked with like, 20% of murders parish wide about a decade ago, but it's just a shithole now, not a murderous shithole.

Ahh, see I lived in Summerwood from 06-08. It was one of those cookie cutter subdivisions they threw up after Katrina just in front of GSRI.

I used to hit up Fricken Chicken all the time. Delicious food but had a tendency to get robbed. The owner had his gun holstered all day long.

Clanton Street in Shreveport

I live on the other side of I-49 relatively close to there. During the winter I spend many nights by my fire pit having a few cold ones and I hear them start busting on the other side the interstate near the area you are talking about.

I hunt and shoot plenty so I know the difference in gun fire and fireworks. When it's November and you hear the exact same pop pop pop, followed by a different pitch faster rate pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop you know exactly what that is. It's usually followed by police and ambulance sirens 5-10 minutes later.

It's troubling because it's so frequent and you know lives are ruined by death or jail each time. I don't get it.

This is the infamous Coke machine on McKinley St. in BR just north of campus.
As freshmen we would get under the influence in the dorms and make bets to see who would go up an buy us all drinks from the machine. There were always shootings/robberies in this area, and also featured in many Lil Boosie music videos.
It'd be about 2am and you'd have to walk up Alaska, past Aster, Roosevelt, Garfield and Grant to McKinley. That's a lot of presidents.
We were always a little to messed to make it. A couple times someone would pretend to go and they'd either wake up in the parking lot of the Islamic center or at that ol bum apartment that used to be where The Standard is now.
Good times!

Levin St my friend! But basically everything boxed in between Monroe St, Rapides Ave, Bolton Ave and MacArthur Dr is a danger zone.
