I have Henkels and they are worth every penny.

On a side note, graduated LSU with a guy who somehow worked his way up to a district manager for cutco (well vector). This sob makes 100k+ a year, has a company BMW, and is always traveling. I still think it is a scam but he made it. #KnifeLife

Kitchen shears, cheese knife, and ice cream scoop are awesome. I'm not a fan of the knife set. They're pretty, but I prefer a straight edge. I sold them early in college and still have them 15 years later, but I grab my Calphalon knife first.

I've had this set since either late 80's early 90's. They are amazing and they send someone to your house to sharpen...at least they used to.

Son's friends have been selling them, we got a couple nice paring knives, the cheese knife, serrated knife, pizza wheel, vegetable peeler and scissors. Like them all, they are all very comfortable in the hand, especially in my wife's hands. She likes them.

It seemed pyramid-ish, but they are solid, I have a set of mixed Wusthof, but I use these, too.

I have a set of Cutco steak knives. They're great. My parents bought the entire set of Cutco many years ago and they're still like new.

Avoid the sales route with the in-home visit. Go eBay.

Also, Wusthof Knives are also very good as well. I have a set and use these primarily.

It's a quality product.

I prefer German or Japanese blades personally. Henckels and Wusthof Classics for the German.

Cutco knives are a total scam. A knife is as good as the steel they're made of and cutco is made from 440A stainless, an extremely cheap steel most often used in the type of knives sold in convenience stores.

Do you honestly think high school and college kids going door to door are selling quality knives?

My parents have a set that one of my cousins guilted them into buying. I really like the steak knives. I don't know what they cost though.

I HATE the chef knife with a burning passion. Terrible handle, thick arse blade, no knuckle clearance, and a useless blade profile. Theirs is 10+ years old, so it may have been updated since then.

I'm going to buy them a Victorinox chef knife just so I can use it when I have to cook over there.

Given their sleazy, predatory business model, you'd expect their knives to be cheap garbage. But they're actually quite good. I bought one when my friend was briefly enveloped in that world so he'd stop harassing me. Luckily he got a real job a few months later and stopped trying to guilt us all into buying knives.
