I had Volvo years ago and liked it, but it wasn't super reliable. Which model is that?

The cheap front drive Ford CD4 chassis (Fusion, Taurus, MKZ) that they elected to use instead of even attempting to compete with real luxury brands.

I would say that Lincoln is basically the American version of Acura, but Buick has already claimed that market. Ford has mismanaged that brand for so long with bullshite like this that I don’t think it will ever recover.

LS 500 is fricking amazing.

The TTV6 in it is fricking amazing.

Still wish it had the LC V8 in it though.

It’s not a Taurus. It’s made by Cabot Coach.

the Lexus looks like a big arse Camry to me. I'll look at the Mercedes. I always thought they were the cheesy brand and BMW was building the better machines.

And before they launched the new 8 series, the 3 and 5 series could be mistaken for KIA's

Lexus LS 500 is so choice. If you have the means I highly recommend picking one up.

I love everything about it except the front end.

The S class has been the pinnacle of luxury sedans for decades, obviously not counting the uber-expensive sedans. BMW's bread and butter is and has been building some of the best small and mid-sized sedans for drivers. The M cars often provide the best balance of chassis and power. The 7 series is good but BMW has never given it the priority that Mercedes has always given the S class.

I looked at the BMW 7 series and the Lexus LS 460L. I bought the Lexus for reliability but I feel I made the wrong choice. The BMW blew me away with the handling, acceleration and overall features. The Lexus is vanilla and needs a redesign. Very boring in comparison to the Beamer. I read where BMW’s ave some issues with water pumps, transmissions and such at about 90k, so I let that sway my judgment too much.

The Continental is a Taurus, but the one in the photo has suicide doors and real leather.

Why yes, they do.

Most European luxury cars are beautiful and exciting while also being money pits.

No, I saw where they went to a 6 cyl twin turbo. The interior is a little different but mine drives like a boat compared to the 7 series I drove. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful car, but boring. What did they do to improve the 500 other than the twin turbo? Mine has the V8 and I am not that impressed.
