Williamsburg, VA. Weird pick but I love that town. Never been to a more strangely relaxing place.

Pittsburgh, as mentioned.

Posted in the other thread, but I think Kansas City is pretty cool. Have never been, but I’ve heard Providence, RI, has a good thing going.

Nearby, I think Grand Rapids is a quality place, but I like western Michigan in general.

Birmingham, AL. Really cool town, great restaurants, great golf courses, pretty terrain. Mountainbrook area is really nice.

For me, it's Pittsburgh. People think of it as a shitty steal city that's depressing, but it's quite a good city that has been having a Renaissance. I thoroughly love that city.

I kinda have to agree with this. Really solid town.

I was going to go with Phoenixville, PA...

But after reading other posts I am going to agree with Pittsburgh between April-November. It's a lovely town.

As for little towns, Taos, NM and Salida, CO.

Great food city. Good restaurant/bar scene. Good neighborhoods and schools in the suburbs. Convenient to Nashville, Atlanta, the beach, NC, etc

Richmond is a good one. Some badass breweries there, pretty "southern" considering the location, very nice in the spring and fall.

I agree with your answer, especially Mountain Brook. Do you care to list some of the great restaurants?
