Cluster headaches are brutal. Pretriptan era was really tough. Hard to believe how many of us TDers have them.

Pretty much a four-way tie but being set on fire really sucked.
1a. Brother set me on fire
1b. Ruptured intestines
1c. Kidney stone
1d. Cystoscope. Don't ever do this awake or without meds. JUST.SAY.NO.

I've had broken ribs, broken arm, chipped elbow, stitches everywhere from dog bites to falling from a tree. Separated shoulder, lost fingernails from hitting them with a hammer, road rash, motorcycle wrecks, bicycle wrecks, and concussed. But the most ever pain was when my sister threw a brick at me and hit my big toe right on the nail when I was around 12. Thing puffed up like an eight ball and the pain was off the chart. My father was dying of cancer, and my mom gave me some of his meds. Didn't do shite. Finally, the nurse who was taking care of my father got a needle and heated it up and punctured the nail and when it got through the it sent a stream of black blood about a foot in the air. Wasn't really thrilled with the set up but when it released the pressure, I was on cloud nine.

I just got the vaccine a few weeks ago. I’ve heard horror stories about shingles
Smart move! I had shingles on the right side of my face and neck and I was laid up for 2 weeks.

Kidney stones. They had to use smelling salts at the hospital to keep me from passing out from the pain
Close second was the 4 or so hours after having lasik. It felt like someone had poured gas on my eyes and lit them on fire

I had to have the old school LASIK surgery where they physically go in with a knife and cut the eye flap over. For 3 days afterwards my eyes felt like flaming swords were stabbing them 23.5 hours straight except for a half hour a day where I could put in a numbing agent.
Still see perfectly to this day about 21 years later so it was worth it but I don't know if I'd do it again

Had to go through a re-alignment of my lower leg called a High Tibial Osteotomy (HTO). They had to open up my tibia by 12mm and slightly correct the twist after an injury.
I was under anesthesia of course, but once I woke up I was in more pain than I've ever been in, before or since.

I've had this done both awake and without meds. Only meds used was some numbing gel before hand. I wouldnt call it painful. It was certainly super uncomfortable

When I was 5 or 6 my pee hole wasn't opening like it supposed to I guess and my mom and dad would have to hold me down and put medicine IN my pee hole using what felt like that sharp triangle skewer thing used at the bar to stab olives. I remember that pain like it was yesterday.

Stepping on my child's lego block corner into the heel of my foot.
In all seriousness, it was actually a kidney stone, but the Lego was a close second.

worse than. 27hr pitocin labor, worse than 2 csections, worse than a broken wrist that stayed broken for five days before surgery.
Anyone who says anything other than kidney stones, has never had kidney stones.

I had an infected 20mm kidney stone several years ago. They had to put in a stent. I ended up wearing it for 6 weeks because they just couldn’t get rid of the infection.
When they went to pull it out, they found it had fused to my urethra. I passed out from the pain.

Chest tubes post op triple bypass surgery
Gall stones the size of quarters
Sciatic nerve pain from waist to ankle
Those chest tubes hurt the worst and once pulled out, instantly the pain was gone. Like a light switch.
Gall stones hurt so bad radiating through my back the ER doctor thought I was having a heart attack.
Sciatic nerve from herniated discs gave immense burning pains
Getting old is not for sissies!

I've been stung twice in the same foot.
I have broken 20 ish bones in my body, including jaw and leg. Stingray takes the cake.
You can feel the venom in your veins, feel it running through, the pain spreading. It's awful.
I will barely get in the water these days.
ETA: it's been compared to a bullet ant on the initial sting, higher peak pain, and longer duration
Glad I'm not alone on it. Man it was a rough day. I got hit in South Padre. Literally about 10 steps out into the water, at the beach. People swimming everywhere around me. Bam!
I Jumped out of the water when it hit, thought maybe I stepped on a crab or something, but the pain was unreal. Tried to stand there a minute or two and calm myself thinking no way this hurts so bad, then picked my foot up and looked at it and go oh fudge!
Was with Ex Wife, kids, and Ex in laws, I think they thought I was being dramatic, didn't care. Drove myself to IGA, got hydrogen peroxide, meat tenderizer, and a 30 pack. Back to condo, cleaned it real good, tenderizer, and then wet towel in the microwave, wrap foot, sit on floor, drink, repeat, the entire day. The heat gave relief, but the time gap between the towel cooling off, and heating it back up, would about put me down.
Woke up the next morning, went fishing, drove home, went to Dr for antibiotics. I won't even fool with them ever again. Somebody catches one on my boat i cut their line.

Had left hip replacement. Was doing great. 3 months later I was sitting in a soft chair reading my ipad and started to get up. Suddenly felt the worst pain of my life - my leg collapsed. No word of warning the new hip had dislocated, I had no control over my entire left leg - just constant shooting stabbing screaming 10 of 10 pain. My wife had to call emergency unit to get me to the ER. The blessed ER doc knew my surgeon and consulted - re-connected the hip joint while I was sedated (no surgery). Pain gone and I was walking on it again that same night.
