What's the longest and shortest you've worked a "real" job?

Quiting mid first shift as a dishwasher doesn't count, though many of you seem to have the IQ that would be a career for you.
Myself, longest 5 years
Shortest 3 months.

I've quit many very worthless jobs anywhere from mid first shift to a couple days. Sometimes you can see off the bat it's not worth it.
I worked in a warehouse for close to 3 years, but I'd consider this my first "real" job that pertains to my area of study. I've been here 6 months so far.

Longest was 21 years and the shortest 3 days.. The 3 day job I worked with the laziest Asian guy.. We had to unload a tractor trailer and he was no help.. The owner started yelling at me to hurry up.. I didn't show up the next day and they were calling and I was laughing..

Shortest was 3 months
Longest was a little over 4 years

Shortest - 10 months - this was a huge accounting firm - I think it's the biggest in the world now
Longest - 24 years and counting - this was for the worst boss I've ever had - myself

Longest is a decade (currently working for myself).
Shortest was 3 days. Coworkers from several other locations pressed me on my salary; I refused to tell them. They complained, believing I was making more than they did (I was, because I had a stronger position to negotiate compensation). Owner got mad and threatened to fire me for discussing salary. I quit instead; I ain't working for a clown like that.

Shortest 5 months, but I just transferred to corporate from a local hospital, so I stayed within the same "organization".
Longest 5 years, 2 different jobs (including my current).

The job I have had the longest (8 years) is the one I hate the most.
The job I had the shortest (3 months) was the one I liked the most.
I guess I'm doing it wrong.

Longest: 29 years and 1 day.
My new boss was a former peer/frenemy with which there was mutual disdain who wanted to ensure I did not hit 30 years.
Shortest: Two different one year stints after 29 year job. Got hired away for better opportunity twice. Been at latest job 5 yrs. Should be last rodeo.
