In the past two years, it probably has been paying a guy for some concert tickets, around $50.

In my lifetime, it was for a Chevy Blazer, about $10,000.

$37,317.96--- 2nd car. Only thing I've ever financed was my house... And that's mostly b/c interest rates were so low back in 2011.

I put a $1000 cash down payment on a boat and went back 2 weeks later and paid the other $7000 cash. I was nervous carrying that much money around, even though I was the only one who knew I had that much money on me.

Mentos-The Freshmaker

Around a dollar with tax.

I left the change in the “take a penny” tray by the register.

$4600 for a semester at LSU

$3000 for a 2003 Camry back in 2010.

$2500 for some cell tech. I got jacked, though.

Paid off wife's students loans; around $30k. Cashiers check for that.
Most cash I've ever had at one time in a bank bag that was mine was A Lot.

It was also intoxicating.

My current home which is being renovated to flip. I bought it from the estate of a deceased family member. I had just sold my interest in a start up me and some other guys built in NC and I sold out my equity. My investment advisor was drooling at getting her hands on the cash and I said nope and put it all into this house. Five years later and it is finally coming to fruition as the Reno nears the end.

To be clear, this is basically my retirement savings. I figure owning a nice home outright (whatever I buy when I sell this place) will be a good retirement plan. I can live mortgage free and then sell it if I need cash.

I put almost $500k down at the closing via a wire transfer.

Closing attorney laughed at me when I told them I wanted a copy of the deed. They had to go to the Clerks office and get me one. You usually don’t get anything.

Really hurt to click “submit payment” but was a relief at the same time.

My "freedom". The amount I pay in income taxes purchases that each year. Those totals are far and away the largest purchases I make. EVERY GD YEAR.

Paid off my truck for $18k. The bank said the only way to close the loan that day was cash or cashier's check. Cash seemed like more fun.
