That little girl that fell in the well back in the 80s. Vaguely remember learning about Bush Dukakis presidential race and then Desert Storm.

I fell asleep with the TV on, watching Seinfeld, and they broke the Heaven's Gate mass suicide. I was feeling that something wasn't right so I woke up to see those slick, white Nikes. Kinda made me feel weird the next day

Princess Di’s death. Went to dinner with my family. Came home and turned on the tv and it was everywhere. I was maybe 13-14.

This thread has reminded me of a few things I recall seeing on the news way back when I was a kid.

I remember seeing the reports on Jonestown which was 1978.

JFK. I was in 4th grade (public school). The Principal announced it over the intercom and prayed.

Rae Carruth who had Cherica Adams, the mother of his child murdered. Now, the child who survived the shooting recently graduated high school.

Adam Walsh. Murdered by a serial killer. His dad started America’s Most Wanted because of that. Found a lot of missing kids and caught a lot of fugitives.

In your neck of the woods I remember a sport about UW upsetting Michigan and the school having no guidelines in place led to the deaths of multiple students as the student body surged towards the field and security were idiots. (Do you remember whatever happened to that lawsuit?)

I remember the Arkansas game in '98 when Hazelwood ruled the FG to put us ahead with just seconds on the clock. They literally opened a gate and within seconds you not only had kids coming through the gate but also up and over the hedges along the Arkansas sideline. The game was only briefly delayed with fans just outside of the end lines.
