re: What’s the draw of smoking Mary Jane every day nearly all day? (Moms gardening)

I agree with a lot of the comments here on daily smoking. For me it was a way to cope with anxiety, I just didn’t realize I had it for years and just numbed a lot of it with smoking.
The dreams during quitting are absolutely a thing. I read a while back that when you smoke you release the dream chemical while awake, hence the creativity boost some get from it.
Either way, life is short and meant to be enjoyed. A change in perspective can move mountains with some/most folks. Finding what changes that perspective is the hard part.
All I know is I didn’t want my kid to see me zonked out and think that it was the way to live.

yeah he smokes weed exclusively outside, but "alot of his stuff" smells like weed. Ok
Correct. You guys can smoke weed all the time you think “nobody can smell it” are just wrong. I know lots of people like you, they’re good people don’t get it mistaken.
They’re just good people that smell like weed

Nobody cares, but they certainly notice that you and a lot of your stuff smells like weed if you’re smoking as much as you say you are. I’m 100% positive. Just like when I was a kid I smelled like cigarettes and so did my dad‘s car because he smoked all the time and he didn’t notice. I’m not saying you’re a bad father or that it’s a problem, I’m just saying that your stuff smells like pot.
Most of these people bring their kids to my house, leave them or hang out. It literally never smells like weed. I keep my weed in a container in a shed.
My old man ripped cigs everywhere too. Was gross, and I agree with you on the way it permeates everything. When he built a new house, he was forced to only smoke outside and he eventually quit smoking in cars. He rarely stunk but for the few minutes after he smoked.

Serious question, why not?

I haven't smoked weed in many years, but I know if I did it every day, several times a day I'd get absolutely nothing done and eat myself out of house and home.
When I smoked weed back in the day my friends would always say "Your eyes look like 2 pissholes in the snow". Just 4-5 pulls on a joint and my eyes would give me away.
But I do know a couple people who feel the need to get high a few times a day, usually early in the morning and later in the afternoon. Get a little buzz in the morning, then get some work done, clean up and get another buzz in the afternoon to relax.

Must be nice not to work

I have a friend who is exactly like you. I bring my kids over to his house, he’s a good guy, nice successful family, great kids, we hang out all the time. He also swears he and none of his stuff smells like weed. He’s wrong and so are you, sorry bro.

I've been able to smell weed on I-10 doing 50mph in rush hour traffic. In the morning.
Gotta love the moms that "brunch" from 11-2:30 with mimosa flights before they get in the car rider line at the elementary school though.

Same here. On the daily. Even with my windows up. It permeates the air way, way more than cigarette smoke.

Many addicts keep taking to avoid the comedown. A few days of withdrawal depression.
Others feel drugs are the MSG of life. They make things a little more fun and enjoyable than normal. And that's pretty true. Music and movies are much better after a little happy.
I'm talking just about weed here.

I used to take a couple hits from the old dugout every evening after I got home. But that was after my work was done and I equated it to drinking a couple of cocktails. Helped me unwind and relieve stress. Never even entertained running my business under the influence of weed or alcohol as that is not a recipe for success. Finally quit smoking after I determined it was a contributor to upper respiratory infections. Occasionally will eat a gummy now when I have a few hours to kill on the wknd but thats about it.

Even if you’re right and all my stuff reeks 24/7 and my kids’ teachers smell weed on my kids, which isn’t the case, they clearly do not care very much.

Not all THC is removed apparently. Risk of pissing hot. My job would never allow lol
At least I got caffeine and ibuprofen

smoking weed is only fun after accomplishing something
I do like the occasional saturday or sunday morning wake and bake though, but not if I have anything to do
