I’m actually pretty well traveled, both within the US and abroad. Sorry to hurt your feelings though.

Whoa, this is one of the extremely rare instances - and possibly the only one - where my hometown is mentioned here. I was last there in 2018 for a class reunion. Yes, Dermott has fallen greatly over the years, but in the 60's and 70's, it was a great place for a kid to grow up. And even when I was there for the reunion it didn't look totally trashed. There are still people there who care, and there was surprisingly little racial tension. And no mention of Dermott is complete without a shout out to KVSA, halfway between McGhee and Dermott, 1220 on your dial... Our football team was the last team to post a winning record, and the basketball team won the combined state championship in 1984.

May I ask what brought you to Dermott?

Problem is, when I’m outside Louisiana I’m usually at a vacation or work locale, which tend to not be very dirty, and if I happen upon a dirty area on some kind of pass through I usually wouldn’t note the name of it.

Jackson MS maybe.

Scruffy was very surprised with how dirty Denver was.

Trash lining the highway. Felt like LA.

Also, New York. Outside of the main tourist areas, it was very dirty.

Dirtiest: Philly
Dirtiest Subway: NY
Most likely to get shot: Jackson

There are 2 tiny areas where Philly is somewhat nice: boathouse row and art museum (Rocky steps). Everywhere else in that city sucks. Trash everywhere, smells, graffiti, crappy row houses.

No I don’t live in houston so my feelings are ok and not hurt. I’ve just seen plenty of other city’s that I would say are considerably dirtier. Maybe houston hurt your feelings?

Anyone saying Atlanta hasn't traveled much. I'm from Jackson and it's much worse. Lake Charles seems pretty damn dirty to me too.

Lake Charles is incredibly dirty. I remember Atlanta being a dirty city when I lived there a couple years ago but maybe it’s gotten better.

Was coming here to say this. What is crazy too is right down the road Annapolis was one of the cleanest places I ever saw.

Not sure I would include Jackson, Ms as criteria for someone who would be considered an experienced traveler.

To go to Jackson, Ms you either need to have a specific reason or it's work related...nobody goes to Jackson for vacation.

Not nearly enough mention here. Total shithole. For years, municipal services wouldn’t respond to fires because the firemen were getting shot at. A mix of old dilapidated industrial facilities (main plant making Roundup) and ghetto. I’d take my chances in downtown Jackson over that place.
