Tipped over basketball goals are usually a bad sign. I don’t know how I missed it.

Checking out the driveways of the area at night.

Driving by in midday during the work week and seeing if people are just hanging out on the porch or if the area is empty.

You don’t want it to look like a Charger dealership at night or like a block party during the day.

If the HOA is over $1000 a year and a management company enforces the restrictions it’s a good neighborhood. I would rather live in the woods.

It’s a good neighborhood if white people are running for no reason.

There is no better indicator than the number of people jogging.

i just generally feel if people park on the street it means multi-family homes or lazy slobs who can’t keep their garages clean. both could be an indicator of trashiness.

Go drive through West University and then report back.

You gotta a dog go walk the hood at 6 am 7 pm chat with the neighbors and be breed specific. You don’t want a hood of “Rescues”

Probably comes in at #4 worst in Nola if we are being honest. Better neighborhood than lowes

Look for litter and pay attention to it.

No litter: Excellent
Camel/Marlboro cigarette butts: Working Class
Newport/Black and Mild butts: No-Go Zone

True. But in my old NO neighborhood we'd daily get all kinds of trash blowing up. Drink cups, fast food bags, cans. As the neighborhood declined litter definitely went up.
