What's that one thing you keep remembering, but then forgetting to do?

Since March, I've had a sprinkler head in the front yard that needs replacing. I remind myself when I leave for work, then again as I am driving up the driveway, but every evening & weekend it is 100% omitted from my consciousness.

Was going to make a, "Pull out" joke, then realized that was too obvious.
I started taking pictures of things I want to remember like, "Memento." It's kind of funny going through my phone and wondering, "Why the frick did I take this picture"?

I dont have an issue with long term projects.
But i do have door threshold amnesia.
I will go out to the garage and close the door, and immediately I struggle to remember what I needed.
I will go upstairs to my bedroom and as soon as I enter (or enter my master bathroom), I immediately struggle to remember what I needed.
This is a fairly recent phenomenon, but is happening with regular frequency all of a sudden.

Replacing one of the bulbs for my license plate on my truck. Got pulled over a few months ago for it. Got a warning and kept forgetting to buy a new one when I was out and about in town. Actually stopped at Auto Zone and bought one last week. Got pulled over on my way home from there.
Having one of those not working is like a neon sign for cops to pull you over apparently.
