Living in New Orleans, in the part that's both antebellum & above sea-level, is just different. Kind of ruins you for the fast-food, strip-mall suburban hellscape that makes up so much of 'Merica.

I''m really considering moving to the mountains of New Zealand. Money/family/job/logistics/etc are my biggest setbacks right now though.

It’s fantastic man. I’ve looked and get job availability updates in my email as PTs can transfer fairly easily there and is one of the jobs that can actually get you citizenship.

It’s just SO damn far and my kids would see their grandparents MAYBE once a year.

Wife’s job is firmly rooted here. I’d love to be somewhere smaller and more affordable, but we have pretty good quality of life, good schools, no crime.

I've done three big moves already in my life and I'm thankful for every place I've lived (that includes BR). Being a single guy and finding jobs have been the main moving factors

My son lives here and the wife (no pics) won’t leave her family. Given the circumstances of the pandemic I’m sure I could explore Texas for work and just come home on weekends.
