I'm sure that the loss of a child is the ultimate kick in the balls and unrecoverable particularly if it was ones only child.

I saw my brother in law learn of the death of his unborn child literally days away from delivery date. When I saw a normally happy go lucky person disintegrate, it made me cry too.

I've had several "toughest" emotional struggles along the way.
6 years my mother died and she was the final remaining blood relative I had left on this planet. THAT is such a unique and weird emotiona dn I deal with it a lot each and every day. It doesn't go away. There is always an empty hole there. The bad days area really bad.

My Dad was diagnosed with an old/odd childhood cancer that shouldn't have happened to someone in their 60's, but it did. He was just about to start chemo and got pneumonia. Went in the hospital and spent a lot of time there. A week later I am at another hospital for my wife's grandfather , who had an aortic rupture in his stomach while in a duck blind. They got him there and luckily had a Dr on call that understood the symptoms described. Went into surgery and it was successful. We are all in recovery and I get a call from my Mom that I need to get there now. I have to leave and tell my wife and her family I'll call. My Dad had fallen into a coma, due to complications with not being able to use medicines for his cancer that were bad for his pneumonia and they wanted to get that in check first. He passed 5 minutes after I got there. I hope he heard me in that state when I told him I loved him and I strive to be like him. Luckily, Mom, myself and twin brother and sister were there. It's been 2 1/2 years, just a week before his 69th birthday. It still hurts to think about. Hell, it was hard as hell to type this. Cancer....ugh....

I read the entire thread, makes me realize you just never know what pain people carry with them. I’m so sorry for all your losses and struggles in life, my heart breaks for you. My toughest emotional struggle was in my 20’s, my first husband, was diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic. Our marriage lasted a little over 4 years with him being institutionalized on 3 different occasions for about 6 to 8 weeks. He never believed his delusions were not real. I still to this day don’t fully understand what it did to me, my nervous system is shot. But I know this is nothing compared to what you have lived through.

one of the reasons why I really try to give people the benefit of the doubt if they are short with me or maybe a little irritated or rude. I try to assume that they're really struggling and it keeps me from flying off the handle.

Maybe I'm wrong about it often times but I think that's better.

Yeah you never know what someone is going through. I had posted something other than my edited comment and in the grand scheme of things it’s nothing compared to some here.

It's not a measuring stick on a penis contest thing. Spill what you want to say.

I realize that. It’s just not important and something that after reading some of these story’s sounds trivial to me.

I’m good and I continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.
