I have my dad's wallet. He always kept at least $1 in it, and I have it with his last dollar.

I have two oak trees in my front yard that my Dad and I planted as we were preparing the land I purchased for my first house. He passed away 3 months later and those trees are still growing.
This was two years ago.
Planted them at about 8 inches tall, they are over 3 feet tall now.

One of my grandfathers was an oar maker at WB Brown in Denham Springs. He made oars by hand. I have his hand saw with his name carved in it as well as an oar he made and signed.

My grandfather passed away when I was 7. On one of the summer trips when I got to stay with them we (he) made me an oar out of old barn wood. I have it up on the wall of our basement family room. They didn't have alot, so it's obe of the only things I have of his.
When I read this thread it's one of two things I thought of. The other is my Citadel ID that has my picture on it from about 60 seconds after they shaved our heads. Its been in my wallet since the 1980's.

My "stuffie" from when I was a kid. Yeah, I admit it. Found it in an old box a few years ago and felt like I won the lottery. Haven't seen it in 25+ years.

My grandmothers rosary. She slept with it under her pillow every night for as long as I can remember. When I would visit, I’d fall asleep with my hand under her pillow rolling the beads back and forth.

That's easy. I only have 3 things left that belonged to my late father who died when I was 8 yrs. old-----and that was 61 years ago now.
I have a tie tack, a gold band initial ring with a square black onyx mounted with the initial in it. I was named after him so it works for me.
Then there's the one I use the most. It's his fiberglass fishing pole with the old style turned wooden handle and big rubber butt on the back end. I still use it when I go out to the Mississippi River to fish for cats since that is where he took me as a young kid. The only thing I did was change the eyes so I could use a spinning reel on it. He used a real old bait cast reel with the smaller eyes mounted to the rod.

I e got a little tin snuff box that was my great grandmother's. No value, monetarily or sentimental really. I just like it because it looks cool and it reminds me of how different my ancestors were raised and how they lived.
I've got my grandfather's first rifle he was given by his father. Winchester Model 61. It's in pretty rough shape, but still fires. I'd be pretty upset if anything ever happened to it before I can pass it on to my son.

My dad has a Rolex that was given to him when he retired a few years ago... quite ironic, because he's the most nonmaterialistic person you'll ever come across. He was plant manager of a major chemical company for years and is a millionaire, yet he still drives a late-90s model Toyota Tercel and dresses in the same clothes he wore when I was a kid. That watch is still in the box, never been opened. It'll be mine when he passes, and I don't plan on opening it, either.

I have a quilt my mother made for me. I feel like she is giving me a hug when I wrap myself in it.

I found a 1921 silver dollar in an old house back in 1976, my Dad was a welder and made a belt buckle out of it, I didn’t see that buckle for 43 years and actually had forgotten about it, my Dad was killed in a car accident last February and when my sister and I were going through his safe, we found it, it’s in my safe now.

My Dads Lefever Arms Nitro Special side by side double barrel 12 gauge.
Loved to hear those 30 inch barrels roar when he took me squirrel hunting as a kid.
