I was and still am a good father.

Friends and family say that, not a self-annointed claim.

I wrestled with and fought off a guy with a knife that tried to rob me on Copacabana beach in Brazil. I was unarmed, and he ended up running away after I took him to the ground.

Now, ..I was super drunk on Redbull and Vodka, and I was hanging out with a hooker at the time, and im not sure if the hooker set me up; but I usually leave those details out when I tell the story because it makes it seem more trashy.

Also, the hooker was chubby.

I can type 225+ wpm on a stenograph machine and 110 wpm on a computer. It was tough getting through court reporting school and the passing rate for the state license exam is very low for but I got it on the first try. I’m happy about it still to this day.
Fun fact:
I got to take Jim Finks’ deposition back in the day at the Superdome in the Saints offices and he chain-smoked through the whole thing.

Passed the Civil Engineering PE exam on my first attempt, 23 years after I graduated from LSU. And my day job doesn't involve much engineering. So I pretty much had to relearn everything for the exam.

I got my Private Pilots License in 2012 about a year before I retired from the Air Force. It was a bucket list item that I’m glad to have accomplished.

Put LSU's pregame 4 notes on a couple of shirts. Wore them to the games.
Led to Perlis Men Store selling the shirts for a couple of years, website shipping them across the U.S. - Skip Bertman wore them and asked marketing "why aren't we doing this?" Ended up with t-shirts selling at the bookstore and around campus, me getting royalty checks (see pic on the left, fwiw, that's not me).

I get royalty checks. The next time I get a check I'll buy us a beer … all of us … one beer.

I was an above average football long snapper in HS, but was too small to play at the college level. I would’ve definitely got my arse whipped time after time playing anything better than D-3. No regerts on not pursuing that.

Couple things, both baseball related.

I had scholarship offers to pitch in Juco and at some smaller 4-year schools, but decided against any of that and walked on at Middle Tennessee, “invited walk on” but still no scholarship and no guarantee of making the team out of fall camp.

Ended up making the team though, and only pitched like 2 innings my freshman year in full-on mop up duty. Fast-forward to the next year, some guys got drafted/graduated, and I busted my arse getting better. Ended up being the Saturday starter for 2 years and earned my scholarship. Damn proud of myself for it even though I was never good enough to ever be considered a professional prospect.

The second one is that in high school I only struck out twice in three years worth of at bats. I wasn’t some Billy badass hitter or anything, just good at making contact. I hit around .400 which was mostly just singles with the occasional ball in the gap and 3 home runs total, but I can still remember both at bats vividly where I struck out and get angry at myself about them even though high school was almost 20 years ago.

Went to football camp at ole Miss senior year in HS. They let us max out on bench press and I did 420lbs which beat the all time record by 5 lbs at ole miss football for my position.

Played college football for 2 years

That's hella impressive. I know guys who never hit that after 4 years in college.

Did you play ball at Ole Miss or another university.

*Just kidding PETA I’m waiting for one of your shelters to come pick him up and then y’all euthanize him.
