A good pen, even just a $40 Cross pen. People signing checks and loan documents for hundreds of thousands of dollars with a 15 cent pen is oddly maddening.

Never really thought about this but I agree with you. When I graduated college I’m pretty sure I had a relative send me one of those pens as a gift which I actually thought was pretty thoughtful to send a gift rather than money. Need to find that thing.

Trash bags and paper towels. A cheap trash bag will ruin my mood every time I try and take trash out.

High(er) end scotch. Can't go back to Johnny Walker Red or other cheap brands once you've had Dalmore or similar.

shite tickets and paper towels. I loathe thin, cheap striking paper and paper towels.

This, and after having one of those cheap $200 bidet seats I went all in and bought a smart toilet.

Same. I get people astonished that I can afford to shop at high end stores /markets. These same people eat out multiple times per week paying _x's more in markup for cheap quality crap they think is good because they're in a restaurant setting.

AMSOIL brand synthetic oil. Run this stuff in your engine, change it a little prior to manufacturer schedule, and never worry about the internals of your engine till you hit 300k.

227,000 miles on our Nissan Armada and there is zero lifter noise.. timing chain noise.. or any noise. Same as new.
