If that cuck Neville Chamberlain had signed an armistice with Hitler, would the world be a different place today?

Was it Patton that said we fought the wrong enemy? Without the western front the Germans could have possibly toppled the soviets before they had a chance to come to full strength. It’s an interesting discussion

Believe Churchill said after they should not have stopped until they reached Moscow after taking Berlin.

Even if Britain had surrendered I think America still is able to invade Europe either through Italy or much a much more difficult route through Spain. Its an interesting topic . Once we got a strong foothold in the Pacific back and basically destroyed the Japs fleet/aircraft carriers their ability to wage any kind of offensive war was gone.

Old Adolph was known to disregard treaties. Japan attacks the US and since there are no western Allies to which they will join in fighting the Nazis Hitler never declares war against the states. The good old USA defeats the Japanese. Russia, receiving no material from the US and facing the full might of the Third Reich gets destroyed. The US leaves the Reich to their druthers and Asia is a vastly different continent than what you have today. The “Jewish question” becomes the “Muslim question” and they are liquidated along with all non-Aryans.

The government would have unfettered power. They would never have our best interest involved in the decision making.

They'd brainwash us with propaganda, and they'd make sure to control whatever technology was necessary to publish their propaganda.

The government, and their elite associates, would continue to accumulate more power and more wealth at the everyday man's expense.

So, nope. Nothing would have changed.

Hitler was a moron who should have left the USSR alone and waited for them to join their side.

If that would’ve happened, then parts of Europe would still be glowing in the dark.

Patton was a brilliant military mind but he was dead wrong about this.

To answer the OP's question, we would eventually have fought Germany, and both sides would have nuclear weapons.

He certainly wasn’t the most sound military tactician.

The Third Reich and USSR signed a non-aggression pact in 1939. However, Hitler viewed Bolshevism as the enemy of National Socialism and always wanted the ideology destroyed, the two would have never “joined sides”.

Yep. Again, he's a moron because IF they would've became alies, I think that would've made both much stronger. Good thing it didn't happen.

That's what people keep missing. Nazi ideology was founded on Eastern expansion and destruction of Bolshevism. It wasn't debatable. It was going to happen.

ETA although Hitler had a grudging professional admiration for how Stalin ran things.

And interesting alternate strategy in this scenario (are we assuming japan still attacks US?)
Would be to let the Germans wear themselves thin fighting the commies while we are fighting the japs, then attack a depleted Germany once they have defeated the Soviets and Japan taps out.

Because to be perfectly honest, the Soviets did most of the heavy lifting in WW2 against the Germans.

In my estimation peace was never possible between the two.

I’m not sure it benefits Germany in a non-wartime situation. Other than Lebensraum, the Nazis valued Soviet held territories due to their natural resources. In this scenario the Reich would have to rely heavily on foriegn trade to supply its needs.

As far as the USSR, it doesn’t matter if Japan or the US wins the war in the east. Both the capitalist United States, and Imperial Japanese, are no friend to the Soviets. At best they’d have a Cold War scenario with the Nazis. At worst they’re facing a two front war against vastly superior opponents, especially if the Nazis have the resources of the US until they capture what they need from Ukraine etc.

Never?

Wrong. Your statement is factually incorrect.

I would agree with it being “highly unlikely” that the USSR & Nazi Germany were to have ever joined sides but no one today can categorically exclude that it would have ever happened.
