Not really a spelling issue, but a "which to use" issue. Affect vs effect. I use "affect" when it is in a passive manner, such as something affecting me emotionally. I use "effect" when it is aggressive, such as the foul effected his shot (basketball). I think I am correct, but I actually don't know. And every time I use one of the words I feel as though I am guessing and I wait to get called out on it.

If it wasn’t for autocorrect I would type places to eat or dining establishments

Every single friggin one mentioned already, but especially privilege, always put a "d" before the "e". Like judgement.

I hate it when people type “defiantly” instead of “definitely.” Also, “lightening” and “frusterating.”

Nope, it’s the opposite. Remember it like this: “A” as in “action” = Affect

This one is pretty easy. If it's a vowel sound following that article, then you use 'an'... Consonant, 'a'...

I'm a North Carolina native... I'm an NC native... Even though 'n' in NC as a consonant, it is sounded out with a vowel to begin with.

I think that's right anyway.
