Public school beyond 6th grade will have a competitive admissions process based purely on performance and intelligence testing. Those who miss the cut by a narrow margin can apprentice for a trade. Those who do even worse enter a public service corps dedicated to public works projects, litter collection, etc.
Medicare Part "D" is abolished.
No backing in to a parking spot... car drivers get fined, pickup drivers get a fine and a mental health assessment to check for delusions of grandeur, e.g. Big Rig Butters Disease.
Public service advertisements and public funding of TV / radio are banned.
A committee of grammarians and philologists is established to promulgate official standards for written and spoken English. These standards are mandatory for all public communications other than things that are clearly art. (So you can still play rap music on the radio, but you can't use the word "woke" on Meet The Press.)
Second jobs in a household are taxed at the highest marginal rate.
The homestead exemption is federalized and turned into a complete exemption from property tax.
The UN is expelled from New York.

Somehow the country survived 230+ years without Medicare Part D, which was passed in 2006. Average life expectancy was 78 years. During the 17 years of Medicare Part D, life expectancy peaked at 79 years and then started declining.
Medicare Part D costs taxpayers in excess of $110 billion per year. That's what the federal government is spending on granny's pills.
If that $110 billion per year went away, I don't think the health or longevity of the American people would suffer in any major way. Granny's doctor would find generics and alternate therapies that she could actually afford.
We'd also stop getting so many damned pharmaceutical ads. A lot of those "new pills" are really just reformulations of the same basic shite anyway.

Why? Households with two people working or one person working multiple jobs are generally working more because they can't make ends meet with one person working one job.
This would be really bad for poor or middle class people who are working instead of just taking a handout.

Does anyone think it's good that two-income households have become the norm? Penalizing them with taxes is harsh, but I can't imagine what else would be effective.
The other side of the coin is the idea you often hear from leftists of subsidizing day care for young children so that having a two-income household won't suck. Like, how the frick does that make any sense? A bunch of chicks go work at schools and day cares and drop their kids off at some other day school or day care so some other chick who dropped her kids off at some third school or day care can... it's a fricking nested Russian doll of stupidity. People need to accept doing domestic work and dealing with their own children.
