To your point, I’d think the feds would step in to assure borrowers don’t lose their homes.
and the dems will put a clause in that we have to house homeless in our spare bedrooms.

The plan where you can’t get your haircut in a barbershop of 8 people but you can crowd around aisles with hundreds of people in Wal Mart or fly anywhere around the country

The government already told landlords they’re not allowed to evict.

We’re in the middle of a very serious economic cross roads.

Either we get this country back to work or we risk very real and dangerous consequences

What plan?

of the 2 options i posed yesterday, i think the "government is lying to us and we're all frogs being boiled alive" is the right option

again, i pointed it out in the thread about Gordy Mac's now infamous email. he is close to JBE and was having staff refuse to allow people from OP/JP meet at his office before the official stats were even bad for the area

even yesterday people were saying my thread about our state government bumbling this whole thing was just being anti-Nola

they're in denial

It'll be too late for some folks who think they're ok

But I'm a sky screamer

Forget the rest of Louisiana

Pretending that the rest of the country should be acting as if they’re a hotspot is nonsensical

oh i agree

it seems like the governors got together and kind of want to all be somewhat uniform so it's "fair"

that shite won't last forever, either

I think this board has shifted over the last few days

I think people are realizing this isn’t sustainable. The first few days were “well I can work from home, I don’t give a shite” to well, if my business is cut in half by our clients who can’t work from home, then I’m fricked

Tax revenue is a powerful motivator

You put a much bigger target on yourself for re-election when you’re ruling over rubble and you had to cut jobs in your own departments bc of lack of revenue

I’m pretty sure they’ll be at least a three month period that no rent or mortgages have to be paid by anyone. I’ve heard that at least one bank will let it slide for a year. The President said yesterday that all FHA have a 90 day roll back. I can even see a reset of most debt. Possibly the USA also telling China to wipe out our countries debt to them or else nonpay anyway.

I agree with the sentiment and I hope going forward people understand that however the reality is over half this country lives pay check the paycheck and a month long shutdown will bankrupt them and drastically alter the societal landscape

very few americans could live without working for 3 months when their investments crashed 50-75% in value

And here we go again. The government is intentionally tanking the economy so that Republicans can give money to the banks and Boeing and the Democrats can keep the abortion clinics open, and here you are preaching to a blue collar guy trying to raise a family that it's all his fault.

I think the gradual acceptance of the reality that this isn’t going away after only a two week lockdown has woken people up to the dangers we are facing to the long-standing health of the economy.
