I pick blackberries and make fresh squeezed drinks with rum/vodka and I make freezer jam.

My woods are covered up in wild muscadines, my wife just picked a large bowl of them yesterday and cooked them down into juice for jelly she's making tomorrow. The wild ones taste so much better than the cultivated varieties.
Our neighborhood used to have a huge wild blackberry patch in the woods by the lake, but the county came in to rebuild a large storm drain in the area and the blackberries are no more.

Clegg’s on Siegen had them a month back. I just happened to see them while I was getting other things. They seem to keep a lot of native fruit trees

Based on the volume they go through and the fact that I’ve never seen a squirrel eat any during the day, my money was on raccoon. But, I’m not sure, so I’m not ready to let them off the hook
But yeah, it’s insane. They won’t touch a single one, and then in two days, they are all gone. And the skins look exactly like a person would have partially split them to eat the grape, which for some reason feels more insulting

There are blackberries at the edge of our field and muscadines growing in a tree near the barn. We have a persimmon tree, but it stopped producing years ago.

Other than electric fencing, which would be an utter no go with my wife, are there any decent options? The more aesthetic the better. I know they will reach through regular netting, but will they shred fine netting? I know roughly when they hit every year, so I would only need to have something up for a few weeks.
