Coding. I'm not a coder, but I use SQL a lot in running database queries for data, etc. I used to have to write the SQL and it would take a decent amount of time. Now I can put what I want in Chat GPT and it writes the SQL for me in less than a second.

Sure hope you aren't putting anything sensitive in there and aren't just blindly trusting what it spits out.

Not at all. The two systems aren't connected. I have to still filling in the database and table names to pull the data from. It just really helps with the details.

As for coding, I don't think it's that big of a reach to tell AI to build me a payment platform for my website, or create a new web page with the following attributes. Things like that.

Teachers. And I am one. But I can’t argue that if every student had an AI teacher, we can save a lot of tax dollars by not having to pay for teachers and admin, and by closing brick and mortar schools. All students can have individualized education plans, and learn at their own pace.

And lawyers.

Are we going to do this again? Do you know what accountants do? Do you know how much tech and "AI" already do for us as accountants?
Yeah we had a whole thread on this.

AI just makes me more efficient with my time and allows me to take on more work. I use it like I would an new hire or intern.

But at the end of the day you still need people behind that technology

Accountant here. Doubt it will replace us. It may cut the amount of low level jobs but there is too much judgment and subjectivity for them to replace us

White collar? How about plant operators? They sit on their asses all day watching Netflix and eating chips and candy. Seems like AI could do that

They have had CAD for years for mammo. It marks everything under the sun to the point it isn't that useful. The AI for radiology just isn't there yet and doesn't seem to be remotely close. Maybe one day.
