Haven’t seen the meme come up yet. Anyone remember Mike Jackson in MidSouth that never won a match? He looked like some dude off the street and would get destroyed every match. I think he wore ole miss blue and red colors and sported a black beard

Mike Jackson is a straight-up wrestling legend; he's the Michael Jordan of job guys. Word is he still holds the Alabama State Junior-Heavyweight Championship...

It's funny, everyone remembers the mega-stars like the Junkyard Dog or Hacksaw Jim Duggan, but just as many fans fondly remember ol' Mike Jackson.

Stagger Lee was actually JYD.

JYD gets banned, Stagger Lee appears the next Sunday...making him the 100% OG Alter.

Yes...Holy shite I remember that poor bastard.

He ALMOST pinned Iron Mike Sharp...then got pile-driven into a quivering puddle of fail.

Just like Mr. America was Hulk Hogan.

Of course JYD did it first.

Wait- what the hell are you talking about?

Next you’ll try and convince me the Midnight Rider was Dusty Rhodes or some other nonsense.

The vignettes that introduced the Midnight Rider to NWA fans in Spring 1988 were downright hilarious. As soon as the masked man starts talking, you know beyond any shadow of doubt that it's Dusty Rhodes. No one else on Earth talks like that. James J. Dillon was livid!

Ted Dibiase argued that one couldn't deny that the Junkyard Dog was Stagger Lee because both "walked like Fred Sanford."

Dr Death (Steve Williams) was mine

He's also the only one I really knew. Was a neighbor and worked out in the same gym.

Slight spinoff, how bout some of the best 80’s tag teams.

Road Warriors
Four Horsemen
British Bulldogs
Killer Bees
Rock n Roll Express
The Skyscrapers
The Steiner Brothers

I could go on all day, brother...

The Midnight Express
The Freebirds

The 10 team tag matches at the Survivor Series in '87 and '88 were incredible. You had...

Hart Foundation
Demolition
Rockers
Tully and Arn
The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers...

Can’t have the Rock n Roll Express on there without including the Midnight Express.

You also left off the Von Erichs and the Freebirds.

12-year-old Goomba is in this pic. I'm in the blue shirt with the Vinny Barbarino hair cut. This was at the Mid-South TV taping at Irish McNeil's Boys Club in Shreveport.
