4.67 or some shite, but it was hand timed, so probably closer to a 4.8

I ran the same basic time as all the other 5’11 165 lb white guys on my HS team. Medium slow to very embarrassingly slow. I think my teammate Todd Kinchen probably ran a 4.47 or worse. Not blazing. And he was pretty good.

I dunno, hard to use a sun dial for that.

Yeah, I’m old. A hand timed 40 wasn’t much more accurate.

Trafton Academy beat us (Many High) in the basketball playoffs when Todd Kinchen was there. He dunked on us.

Yeah, he was freakish, incredibly explosive and quick, great lateral movement. But not a true speed demon.

I played football in high school. I ran a 4.7

Me too. Also played JUCO baseball. I was a safety and ran a 4.79 or basically a 4.8. Destroyed my ankle in practice right before the second game of my junior year. I mean, tore the ligaments and tendons all up. It's still fricked today. I pretty much don't have a left ankle. Anyway, I gutted out and played on it. Our coaches decided to time us in the 40 the week of the 9th game and I ran a 5.3. I got it back to a 4.8 the summer of my senior year. I had 6 picks my senior year, and I believe playing at 5.3 speed my junior year made me better at taking angles and reacting because I didn't have any speed.

4.6 but was hand time. Coaches always added 2 inches of height and 20 pounds in the program. So probably 4.8.

4.7. That’s was a realistic combine type 4.7. Not the OT 4.4s that will pop up.

definitely

My best was 5.2-5.3. Nobody else sniffed sub 4.7 except for like the 3 or 4 fast kids.
