Does a hole in one count? #11 at Santa Maria with an 8 iron. Twisted my ankle jumping up and down.

First: Got a hit in a little league game. Wasn't any of that coach pitch bullshite either. It was off another eight year old wildly flinging the ball in the general direction of home plate.
Last: Rowed 7000 meters on the Concept 2 the other day.

First was an unassisted triple play as a 7 year old. Last was my Senior year a 69 yard punt and a pick six in the same game. Then went to college and found women and alcohol and that ended my athletic career.

At 5 foot 9 inches and white, the younger me could dunk pretty well. We're talking mad hops, yo.

Was practicing baseball with my dad hit a foul ball and some other kids dad said nice you hit out of the park. Next pitch hit a homerun. Same dad anyone can hit a homerun off their dad. Next game kid hung a pitch and I went yard as I rounded second saw that smug sob watching.
Final to win the district I took a fumble away from the opposing team in the pile up senior year. Kid was big but I had senior strength. Welcome to the mean world of under the pile kid.

First: No idea, didn’t play organized sports until 7th grade. I’m going with in 4th grade first week at a new school and ran down one of the faster people in school playing freeze tag
Last: smoked a line drive to RF in a mixed slow pitch softball league for an inside the park HR; we were still run ruled 3 batters later.

I could walk on my hands in the 4th Grade
Fast Forward to today: I can still go for a minute plus with no prep at age 36

Unloaded 40 bags of grade A mulch from my truck to all of our flower beds for my wife, without taking a break.
All of my other accomplishments are pre-internet and on the very tail end of black-and-white TV, existing only in oral tradition/lore.

home run in pinto league (over the fence) when I was about 7, and most recently either running a 10k or making tap-in eagle on a 500 yard par 5 (hit my second shot to about 2 feet), two old guys in front of me stayed near the green to give me an ovation.

I kicked a basketball full court in a gym and it swished the opposite net.

I deadlifted 505, no straps. I did use a reverse grip.
For four reps.

Came in first place in the 12 year old division at the U.S. karate championship. My oldest was a little golf trophy for closet to the pin at a company golf event. My teen self would have kicked the old self arse.

In 1967, in our senior years, I speared Tommy Casanova in the belly on a punt return and literally knocked him on his butt. That made up for the something-like 12 TDs he had scored on us over three years.
Last? Walked my dog a couple of miles.

First: Made it to the semi-finals in my first tennis tournament.
Last: Was about 3 feet away from a hole-in-one - I'm horrible at golf so for me that was a hell of an achievement.

First - if losing is an achievement, lost to Boris Becker at John Newcolbe’s place in Florida in 1981. Winning my first golf tournament in 1983.
Last - 9th hole in one 15 years ago.

No shame in losing to Becker. Just to play against him is a big accomplishment. My uncle made a hole in one the first time he ever played. He said what's the big deal? We just shook our heads and laughed. Lost him a few years back. He was a great guy.
