I played most of these already mentioned as a kid.
I’m so glad there are now so many more better choices that I’ve introduced my kids to.

We still play Risk as a family. My son and I play the big Global '40 edition of Axis and Allies on occasion.

Chess. I still play it daily although I suck now compared to how I was before a smart phone ruined my attention span.
Mancala is next. My wife and I play every evening.
Caught her cheating at it the other evening and she cried in the bathroom for 20 or 30 minutes. She still hasn't figured out how I'm cheating.

The entire game masters series was awesome!! Axis and Allies, Shogun, Fortress America, conquest of the empire!!! My dad, and brothers would have games in the summer that may last a week playing after dinner until 11-12 at night sometimes!! Awesome times!!!
