Same. The 90s were my high school and college days. It was the last decent decade in America

The entire decade.

1993 involved a lot of LSD for me. The music around then was the best of my lifetime

They were all great. I would say 92-97 were the best I graduated high school in 1999, so obviously it was a good year, but things were changing before then. Limp Biscuit and Nelly aren't exactly Soundgarden and Tupac.

For me personally
91 grunge movement was a pivotal period in music however short lived it was. The influence of those bands on new bands will be forever I didn’t mind the fashion (flannels and Docs)what’s the problem. Didn’t like when it turned into extreme goth
92 97 99
Are all important years
The 90’s was the best decade.
Early 90’s still in high school then college. Best time in MOST people’s life IMO.
Of course it also included tragedy and sadness.
Mid to late 90’s included quite a few important milestones of life.
I did a lot of growing up in that decade
Late 80’s was pretty amazing as well!!

Yeah Phish was really starting to get going. Then once Jerry died in ‘95 they took over the whole scene.

No, but the intersection of pop, rap and nu-metal at the end of the 90s was fun at the time for anyone 15-20ish.

Civilization peaked in 1998.
The world actually ended in 2020, but not with a bang. It has just been slowly crumbing to ruins faster and faster ever since.

1994
Grunge had been out a few years and then Weezer dropped their Blue album in 1994 which I think was a defining album for the alternative "nerd rock" trend that took off at this time. Kurt Cobain shot himself and Woodstock '94 happened which was a big deal at the time.
If you're talking world events, then probably 1996. Atlanta Olympics bombing as well as TWA-800. On the home front you could make the argument for 1993 due to Waco.
