Had a classmate murder another student. Cops arrested him on campus at 8am.

I’m a long time high school teacher so I can recognize a good teacher.
In the late 80s Mr. S was a good science teacher. He put a lot into it, had sessions before and after school to help students. He was nice, respectful, and kind to everyone and he was a family man who was always 100% professional when interacting with students.
Then one day while in his mid- forties someone found a twenty year old catalog (maybe Sears, or JC Penney) that had Mr. S modeling underwear.
It was a long few years for Mr. S. He had gone grey but it was very obvious it was him.
He refused to comment on it or discuss it, but the students sure did.

Teachers sold to the students? That seems risky for both parties.
There was one teacher who taught "free enterprise" who was a known coke user who bought from a former student, who started selling to him when he was a student.
Funny thing was, he lived in my neighborhood. He was married with 3 daughters who all went to a feed school to St Josephs then to St. Josephs. His wife's family had money. When I was in HS, something happened and he was given the option to quit (he was a few years from retiring). They quickly moved to Baton Rouge and maybe a year or two later saw him at Circuit City, where he was working.
But there were a few teachers who bought marijuana every once in awhile. It wasn't really know, but I had classes with the dude who sold to them and he would tell me.
As for as "the incident", man there wasn't just one. There was always an incident. Two or three times a year the drug dogs would randomly be brought in. They would find all kind of shite in classrooms because anyone who had anything on them would hurry up and throw it on the floor.
Almost every classroom would have tobacco and cigarettes then there was also several classrooms with marijuana and/or crack.
They would try to question people about the marijuana and crack always starting with the person whose desk it was near, but people threw it for that reason. And there were the students who were clueless and everyone else wasn't saying anything.

When Coach Moss didn't even make it through a single school year because he was busted for selling steroids to the wrestling team.
Nothing much else dramatic happened in high school that I can remember. In grade school, a kid in my grade died after he fell head-first off the monkey bars. Then later on in middle school we had a Priest that all the kids knew was a molester (before the whole Catholic molester scandals came to prominent light) and of course that was officially confirmed a few years later when he was kicked out the Church.

The KKK came one time (like 9 of them) because a mixed race couple was happening. Really did happen. White students and teachers ran them off. Black students were told to stay inside over PA. Can’t even imagine if that happened today.

Our gym burned down my senior year, had to play all the basketball games away. Also,I had a final destination type wreck with a log truck, the former mayor of the town the school was in was killed in that wreck.
