When you cross into Tigerland over the RR tracks it was immediately on the left.

Man, 6 pages and no one mentions The Gridlock from the 90s where Bogies is now? Guess we don't have many acid heads on here. That place was the tits.

No love for The Bamboo Lounge. AKA Big Earnie’s?

Murphys - .25 beer on Tuesdays and $1 calls on Wednesdays
I woke up one Wednesday morning after enjoying.25 beer at Murphy’s with $5 in my pocket, a withdrawal slip for $75 from the Ibernia ATM in the parking lot and no recollection where the other $70 went.

I liked it when the Dekes would ride their motorcycle through Murphy’s. One time, pure coincidence, Rick James was singing Burn Rubber as they drove through.

I don't know if it was mentioned yet but the old Quarter Note on Sherwood Forest was a pretty cool place in its day. Later on it became Ricky B's.

It was owned by a DKE and most of the bartenders were DKE's.

The most ridiculously happening scene I ever experienced in this town was in the late 80s when Miami The Bar linked up with Surf Club next door (this is where Penthouse club and the closed sushi place is now on Bennington). They made an outdoor beach bar in the middle, you had access to all areas for one cover charge. Place was packed on weekends, partied hard.

Miami the Bar..early 80' or Plum Crazy...both packed every night and blaring dance music all night. Good times.

Rockandrollderective...guess we were walking back and forth across the beach at the same time!
