Got back from Hawaii about a month ago.
Small weekend trip to the Woodlands for a wedding in May.
Tentative trip for my wife's graduation in May of 2017. Thinking probably Cinque Terre.
No trips scheduled for 2016 yet, but there's been talk of a guy's trip to Denver possibly this year.

Branson seems pretty bad. I went there once as a kid before it blew up and also went up to NW Ark a few years ago (but not to Branson proper), so that's my limited first hand perspective of it.
My parents were on an Ozark kick my whole life. I've been to Branson 7 times. Also Springfield, MO.. Harrison, Ark.. Nixa, MO..
My parents decided we were moving there when I was in middle school. They even bought a house in Nixa. Luckily, it hit them that they couldn't uproot us like that for no reason, so they were able to sell the house back to the owners and we never left.
I'll be okay if I never step foot in an Ozark again.

Well, that includes sick days, but I can use those throughout the year to save vacation days for vacations.

I hope my future kids don't think like this.

If my wife and I want to move somewhere and have the logistics lined up for the move, some snot nosed kid's opinion on the matter will not be part of the decision

Nice. I'll be out there for a week or two in mid May if you want to come get on some routes

No kidding, my parents did it but they ran the house. Not the other way around.

I officially get 2 weeks but if I pack my phone and computer I can get away with "working remotely" while on vacation.
I do that for beach trips with family because I wake up so early in the morning I usually have 4-5 hrs of time to kill before anyone else gets out of bed.

Want to take my daughter to New York this summer. Life is short and we've had friends with health issues lately. Dtr is only 15 but I'm not guaranteed "later".

Not really vacation, but Elk hunt in Colorado in Sept.
I was planning on this last year, but didn't draw.
Not going to be able to this year... maybe 2017.

anyone got any recommendations on places in the maldives?

Vegas next week.
The usual weddings all over the damn country, this year Virginia and Upstate NY.
Asheville for my hipster friend's bachelor party
Trip to Chicago
Haven't planned the year end international trip yet but I imagine that we will settle on South America generally. Lead options of Galapagos, Brazil or Argentina specifically

I guess I've called it Disney World for hipsters for a reason.
I love the place, though.

I thought Asheville was more hippy than hipster.
Still loved it as well. So much good beer and hiking.![](https://i.imgur.com/GJNX1U4.gif)

I'm gonna bring my 6 year old to Wrigley for his 7th birthday this summer. I have a vendor in Chicago that's paying that bill though.

3/3-3/11: L.A. and San Francisco
6/3-6/7: St. Kitts
6/11-6/19: Some combo of 30A and finishing off in New York with a few nights of ballet. Still working on this one.

Ya, it's not the usual destination so I think that's a plus.
I'm usually ok with trying any place once. Looking forward to it.
