Plane lands at 7:30 am and we don't take off again til 4:30.
Would love to see Dealy Plaza and think we would have time to go there for lunch.
Any other ideas?

You cannot go wrong with hookers and blow.

i found DFW's security moves pretty fast. your main concern is not getting stuck in traffic getting back to the airport from fort worth or dallas.

The airport is outside of Fort Worth, so the answer is nothing unless it is inside the airport complex.
Maybe spend an hour or two riding the tram from terminal to terminal. Then get some drinking in. Then take a nap at your gate.

Was gonna do tram. Figured it would be more dependable time wise and cheaper.

There's a DART station at DFW. That's a cheap easy means of traffic-free transportation.

Spring for a lounge pass and get drunk.

You and your sister find a drive-thru marriage chapel

DFW is pretty close to Jerry's World. You can get to The Star in Frisco (Cowboys HQ) in about 25 minutes if you want to travel the other direction.

As Andy told Gomer about Mary Grace, "don't over expect." Certainly the significance is off the charts. But when I went there in '95 or so I drove past it twice. When you see the historic footage the 'plaza' seems large. Its not. You don't get to go very close to the "window",either.
Not trying to be a wet blanket, but if you are somewhat rushed I try Dealy Plaza another time.

This is the correct answer. Jump on the DART train and take it to downtown Dallas if you want to see the Book Depository, etc. Skip the traffic but give yourself enough time to make it back through security.

I like getting drunk, but not when I've gotta get on a long plane ride later.

You could easily make it to Dealey Plaza and back. There are a couple of other museums in the same area of downtown.
