Good update Ghost
I think the mardi gras beads are a good next step.
But maybe the van and signs of life is the killer coming back to revel in his masterpiece...

The house obviously belongs to Dr. Weiss. His family is waiting for him to come home from the Capitol, he told them he was "going up ta see da Governor". "Don't wait dinna on me shug, I might be late!"

Or maybe that was the cue to let OP know that "the cleaner" he hired for 20k was doing the work he was solely hired for. The whole story about "not wanting to create a flash at 11pm" was a combination of him checking up on the guy he hired and doing it undetected so that the cleaner didnt chop him up next for not trusting him.

And the OP never told us what kind of vehicle the neighbor a couple doors down from santa was washing. Id bet theres a good chance that guy was washing said minivan and theyre conversation was code "the job is done, now its time to come through on your end".

I suspect the signs of life were from the Louisiana "snowboarder" kid the op spoke to earlier double checking the cleanliness of the scene.

Well, tonight someone was in there and there was a mini van. The real kicker is that someone moved the dog onto Santa's lap. I mentioned earlier that the attached dog was upside down this morning, I have pictures of it, well it was moved back. They're actively maintaining the display! But why?

Ok that settles it. Put on your camo tonight and belly crawl from your house to their house and unplug the damn thing. You can give them leniency if they are dead but now there is no excuse.

Evening gentlemen.
What do you mean by settle?

More recon for the corpse?
Friendly discussion with neighbor?
Put Santa down?

I saw another car this morning, a Chrysler PT I believe. Definitely Chrysler.

I have to go to work dinner so I won't be back until dark, when I do my best work.

Ghost face.

Initiating Kringle protocol.

Santa's sleigh is upside down.
Rudolph has the flu.

I may have lost perspective at this point, but the more I chew on this, Santa's needs to go.
