Live in a small decent little neighborhood, but the house across from me and down the street a bit is rented out to some pieces of shite who have two dogs ( one is a large puppy) and a cat.

They arent feeding or watering them. They dont have any flea or tick control. They keep coming to our house to eat and drink. They basically live at my house. They are sweet, but I already have two dogs and a cat.

Anyone dealt with this before? I could just stop feeding them, but I would feel horrible.

I had something like that growing up. a-hole kept a dog chained up on a raised deck so it couldn't touch the ground and then didn't feed it. Why even have an animal if you are going to torture it to death?

Call Humane Society. You can do it anonymously.

Hope you don’t stop feeding them, that may be the only chance they have to eat. Humane society should be worth a call.

Do the dogs have to be showing signs of neglect?

Whew - thought this was abt me. The family got 2 cats, after I said no.

They live outside now, it’s day 6 of vacation - I am sure they are still alive eating lizards and bugs.

I did put a bowl under a drip sprinkler which goes off daily so they have water.

Take them and give them to someone else who will care for them, preferably a county or two away

Not sure. But it’s worth calling and having a conversation with them over.

How do we know that you aren't over reacting. My sons neighbor has a Lab that is so fat that it unhealthy. She travels the neighborhood and different ones feed her. She doesn't need the extra food.

What qualifies you as an expert on animal fitness?
I live in the country and have beagle hounds. One of mine was out doing what she was bred to do, running rabbits. Later in the day a friendly neighbor drove up the driveway and said she was in their yard. She said she appeared to need feed. I told her the dog had been running rabbits for over six hours, what did you expect?
These dogs will dig under a fence or climb because they love running rabbits. They will run for hours through briars chasing game. If you aren't a hunter, I'm sure you don't understand their passion and drive. That is their purpose in life.
