Came across at least 30 others on LSU's campus walking around playing it. Most of people (like myself) you can safely assume wouldn't be outside if it weren't for the game. parade grounds is covered in Pokemon and damn near every live oak endowment is a pokestop

I just downloaded, but I thought you could. They show you doing it in the trailers.

Pokemon was big when we were in high school. Don't act like it's something you don't know about.

Pokemon is legit.

And it's still pretty big - every new game release sells 10+ million units.

You're right. They should be doing real adult activities, like getting drunk and watching college kids play a children's game.

The thing is, the people who first got Pokemon games as kids are now age 18-28. In 10 years time it will be cool to own old Pokemon stuff, like comic books. It's already starting and will become more and more socially acceptable as this generation ages.

Look man, people are allowed to have fun any way they want, but I'm also allowed to think it's weird for young males to prioritize catching virtual pokemon over actual social interaction.

We were driving around last night, and I glanced over at my 16 y/o and it looked like a gps map or directions, and he told me it was Pokemon Go. So, a Pokestop has to be a location where the game has a Pokemon to be caught.

It's geocaching for people who don't use a regular GPS unit or seek out the actual cache. Instead, they simply follow them on the map and get to them as the approach the stop?

Geocaching sounds fun to this 49 y/o, but without having to invest beyond the app. this is geocaching basic, thus more accessible to any one.
