2015 Silverado, not enough cranking amps to start the truck...

Seemed odd for a battery just 3 years old..

Probably cause your truck is half foreign parts.

Should have gotten a Sierra. They have the premium batteries.

this is true. but i have noticed them getting better life in the past few decades. 4-5 years if you have no issues. I think my last one was a good 6.5 years old before i had to mess with it.

I have had three new Sierra Denali's in the last 9 years (every three years I rotate as my company truck through my maintenance department) and they all drain batteries quickly. I am guessing my new factory batteries lasted about two years each. It seems like there is a constant drain on them somehow.

Had one go out after 4 and a half years. Our other vehicle is a 2015 and still going strong on the OE.

I've got a Silverado that I got new in October of 05 and it is on its 3rd battery now that I put in about 7 months ago.

But, I'm retired and don't do a lot of start and stop driving and have less than 65K miles on my truck now. So that works out to about 6+ years for each battery.

Middle of the road batteries usually have a 2-4 year warranty

I just replaced the battery in my wife's 2012 Accord for the 2nd time so 3 years sounds about right.

Depends on several factors... 3-5 years is about right.

battery in the highlander crapped out after 2 years. I called the dealership telling them to come get their piece of shite car b/c it woudn't start, b/c i didn't think it was possible for a brand new car to need a new battery after 2 years.

I had a '04 silverado for 6 years and never changed the battery. Have a '07 that i have had now for 5 years and never changed the battery. My company cars are Jeep Cherokee's and we keep them for 3 years and never had a battery die.

Out here in AZ, you are extremely lucky to go over 3 years with a battery. Extreme heat kills them quicker. Average is 2-3 years.

So you just make sure to buy a battery with at least a 3 year warranty. That way the next battery is free cause it’s under warranty.

my 2014 silverado original battery died after about 26 months and less than 24,000 miles. No telling how long it sat in a warehouse before it was put into the truck. It is a pain in the arse to change as well. Wide open area where the battery could be easily accessible, but nope mother fricker we are gonna make you disassemble all the braces and sit the battery down on its side and crush your fingers to make this son a bitch work again. Be real careful with the fuse panel on top of the battery as well.

That's about right, but I just replaced the original battery in May on my 2009 Ram. That's 9+ years.
