Can you provide the proof of that? Very hard to believe as in the previous year it was Pit Bulls and Rottweilers WAY out in front. Labs attributed to only 3 deaths in 2016. Labs are much more common and often many mixed pups are labeled as labs when they have different breeds.

Last 12 years (up to 2016):

Hard to believe Labs had such a bad 2017 and all those other dogs began behaving.

Labs were the breed with the second most kills in 2017 behind pit bulls... so...

and if you add them up with every other non-pit bull breed, they STILL fall well short of pit bulls.

and this despite there being nearly 3 times as many Labs in the US as any other registered breed.

there is not anywhere remotely close to the same number of pit bull (and pit mixes) as there are labs (and lab mixes) in this country.

yet pits account for many times the number of fatalities as Labs do.

I'm willing to bet percentage-wise the mix is close. Pitbulls are more likely to be found in lower income class areas where dogs are often abandoned or are allowed to just roam the streets. Not to mention, I'd wager that pitbull owners don't adhere to strong breeding standards.

Have you seen the story about the couple in Russia that adopted a puma? His name is Messi. Tons of youtube videos on Messi the Puma. He was adopted as a cub...never been in the wild and was injured when he was a cub. Because of that he would not do well to be sent to the wild or a cat preserve. He is totally domesticated like a giant cat or dog.

The craziest video is them taking Messi to obedience class...with other dogs there. You can see the dogs in this video and they totally have this "wtf is that massive thing next to us" look on their faces

My friend had a full grown pet lion back in the 80's. He lived right next to little verons in Lafayette. It played a little too hard and shredded his dad's back. Then it bit off two of the neighbor's kid's fingers. They put it to sleep and stuffed it as a coffee table base. That was one weird family.
