What percentage of schoolchildren in Louisiana don’t have Internet/computer at home?

I just saw an incredible stat that 30% of Oakland, CA public school kids have zero access to internet at home to complete school work, so some professional athletes are organizing a program to change that.
What’s the situation like in Louisiana?
I know the national number is that 6% of Americans don’t have internet at home. I always assumed that number mostly consisted of old people in rural areas.
The reason I ask is because if you are poor in Louisiana and you have children, you qualify for rent subsidies, Medicaid, food stamps, etc
Why aren’t parents in this situation using the money they don’t have to pay for that stuff to make sure their kids have internet?

Probably pretty high in the poorer areas. Louisiana is in the bottom 3 or 4 in per capita income.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's around that 30% mark or higher. Lots of poor people here.
When I was in school, I would sometimes go hang out at the nearby library and study. The computers were always packed with new faces both young and old.

“I’m not going to have internet in my home because Lithuania has faster speeds” doesn’t make much sense

I don’t have internet at home. Not because of the poors, but because we live in a rural area where it’s not offered. There is satellite internet, but it’s unreliable and high as giraffe pussy for low quality speeds.
Out electric co-op was ready to go to offer internet to everyone they serve through the power lines. It was going to be as fast as cable and reasonably priced. The PUC and Foster Campbell shot it down because they wanted to put a $2.00 surcharge on all bills to help offset the costs.

Recorded message from the school said that 87% of kids in EBR had sufficient internet access for online school when they announced you could pick up a chromebook if you needed one. They did call and survey us and asked if we needed help with internet or a chromebook, so I assume that is where the stat is coming from. Interesting to me everyone is concerned about my older son, but not one peep from anyone about our Autistic son, not a teacher, therapist, principal, secretary, nothing.

Damn. I couldn't imagine not having internet at home in 2020.
