Walmart operates on margin. They have to sell a lot of stuff to make money.

If items aren't on the shelves, they aren't being sold, and they aren't making money.

However... labor costs are huge at WalMart. If they spend too much on distribution and store stocking, their profits will go down, not up.

So it's a tight window. Get as much product as you can in the stores, but use as little labor as you can to get it on the shelf.

Walmart had become world class as using that window... tons of money spent on inventory systems, delivery systems, etc.

But the rules have changed. Not only are they not getting as much product into the distribution centers (because of supplier issues due to COVID / no one wanting to work), but their labor is also screwed up due to COVID / no one wanting to work.

And if they raise wages to entice people to work, they have to raise prices, and that doesn't work with their sell as much as you can model.

They will figure it out but right now it's a mess.

Those ‘shoppers’ take up the entire aisle and are rude as all get out. They should only be allowed to fill orders after hours.

Pretty soon we’ll be wiping our asses with $1 bills because it’s cheaper than using toilet paper.

What's funny is that WMT instructs their cashiers to try to fit 5 items in a bag, and to "try to fit one more" into each bag, but then delivery / pick up has like 1 item per bag.

Re a lack of bags, was in a restaurant last week & asked for a doggie bag to bring left overs home. Waitress apologized & said that they have not had any bags for several weeks & were starting to run low on table napkins & some utensils. Because their suppliers were backed up, for mths, due to lack of employees in their supply chain.

Walmart is trash. I don't see their owner building a ship to fly to the edge of space. I only Shop Amazon, Drive Tesla's and Fly Virgin Atlantic.

Read yesterday that McDonald's is having a bag shortage.

Walmart grocery pickup always puts one or two items per bags. I really don't care about wasting bags but even they piss me off. One tube of tooth paste in one bag. One pack of biscuits in another bag.

That's odd. The local WallyWorld bags pick up orders the same as they do at the registers as normal.

We don't have delivery.

Yeah, no way that is a Walmart she's in...no way that's real...lol!

Women like that don't go to Walmart...at least, not any Walmart I've been in.

I dated a girl from the Memphis area of all places who insisted on using cart and tried to break me of using the word buggy. It irritated me more than it probably should have.

The real problem with Walmart is actually going to their over lit, depressing stores and having to navigate around absolutely stupid people, then have to stand in line for a half hour because only one register is open.

Pickup and delivery service put Walmart back on the map for me.

Maybe you should stop participating in globalism and shop at a locally owned store. Maybe you should stop supporting the largest child labor and human slavery perpetuators that have ever existed in human history.
