My dad gave me 3 of his old Seiko's this past weekend that I’m going to try and get up and running. One just needs to be fitted the other two may need batteries and a band. Never really been a seiko guy but I’m going to wear the shite out of them.

i bought my dad a Swatch in the 1980s..a very understated (by swatch standards) black watch with a normal white face. my dad loved it SO SO MUCH. i never expected him to react the way he did but he wore that thing every day of his life. i loved my dad.
eta i'm not sure why but watches have always been the thing that bonded our family; from my granddad's omega to my brother's bulova to my seiko and the Swatch i bought for my dad.

I was given an old Seiko that my grandfather had which was given to him by State Farm for 30 years of service. I'd like to see if anyone could offer any advice on how to fix it. It is interesting because it has 2 crowns: 1 at the 3 o'clock position and 1 at the 9 o'clock position. The 3 o'clock crown has 2 positions. The 1st position doesn't do anything when I turn the crown either direction. I assume it's supposed to either set the time or the day/date. The 2nd position sets the alarm hand, and that appears to be functioning properly.
I assume the 9 o'clock crown is supposed to either set the time or the day/date, but as you can see, that crown is missing. Any idea how to fix this?

I'll occasionally wear my dad's Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust from the late 70's that I inherited. Used to wear it daily when I worked at the bank. Now that I'm in construction, not as often.

Saw these were up for preorder for delivery next year. I’ve wanted one of these for a long time.

Pre2020 Rolexes are top tier.
To add to the thread, Tudor BB GMT with a glomar nylon strap is my daily wear.
