Poor fella

I once had a pet wasp. Trapped it in a jar, and knocked him out with a whip-it.

We tied a piece of fishing line to it, and tethered it to a table leg. He lasted a day or two.

Looks like a yellow jacket queen. Just killed a nest of them in my yard.

Sand Hornet, get over an inch long, burrow into the ground. Have seen a few here in South Mississippi.

If it's much bigger than a yellow jacket it's probably some type of Hornet.

I have tons of wasps in my house, but I haven't bothered doing anything because they don't sting, and they are so easy to kill. I don't know how a species of retarded wasps has made it this far.

I've never seen a yellowjacket this big. Thing was just sitting there, flying stupidly.

I was able to come up on it with a piece of paper and grab it.
