Upgraded from a Fenix 6 pro last January when my company gave me a service award. I rock the Enduro 3, which is similar to the Fenix 8, but has the old style screen (Not Amoled). Battery life is close to a month and I track all my sports and activities with it. I use it as backup navigation and it acts as a remote for my InReach mini so I can just leave it clipped to my pack. I've owned the Fenix 5, 6 and now Enduro 3 and have no complaints about any of them.
I picked up a Hammock Gear Dyneema tarp, 12'x7' to cover my 11' hammock on Marketplace for $300. Weighs 8 oz with rigging. It is the model that has the ends that wrap around for doors. Love it, especially three or four days into a hike.

Any idea if this could help here in the muggy south? If so how is best implemented for a 50+ fat man just hiking/biking in south Mississippi?

Our club Baton Rouge Mountain Bike Association (Bramba) makes annual trips in the fall to Oak Mountain. Nice place to ride, I enjoy it, but I’m getting a little old for jumps, so I might have to slow roll this new trail.

I can second the Sport Legs recommendation, it kills the burn/cramps in my legs when I race my mountain bike but unfortunately for me it replaces the leg cramps with stomach cramps.
I rode submarines in the 90's fwiw
