Thanks. Should I try to relocate it? I've handled a few snakes in my day (no homo) but never a copperhead.

Grab it, then wait 5 mins if it's swelling up there is a good chance it's poisonous.

Dude. Copperheads are no joke.
I wouldn't kill it. But I would definitely relocate it far away. Especially if you have kids around.
God speed.

A pretty one that needs to die.

Venom from copperheads is not deadly, and when people die from copperhead snake bites it is due to an allergic reaction. People who are weak or either very old or very young may experience a significant impact on their body functions from a copperhead snake bite.
The copperhead injects its venom through ducts in its fangs. Its venom disrupts the red blood cells of its prey that in turn becomes completely subdued.

There's kids nearby. I've been poking it with a long stick and telling it to leave. I might pin its head down and pick it up in a second if it doesn't leave

I'd definitely kill that one if it was in my yard. I have pets and kids. I never mess with them if they aren't venomous.

That one looks like it has a diamond shaped head.

Yes, it's a Copperhead. Do not try to pick it up with a stick.
Get a large empty trash can. Sweep it into that with the stick or a broom. Put the lid on, take it your mother-in-law's house, and let it go.
