Yeah, that's what I'm confused about. These are real running shoes. Dad shoes are more like Nike Air Monarch or some New Balances. On Clouds dominate soccer dads from what I have seen.

They’re show shoes. I tried a pair on looking for running shoes and they’re not very stable.

Hokas.
Plantar fasciitis kicked my butt along with gout and arthritis. So while my foot was swollen I wore crocs. Now I wear Hokas to keep them from getting too bad.

I'm normally not a "name brand" person, but Brooks shoes have been a pleasant surprise. I had tried Hokas and OnClouds, which dominate the clinical medical field (nurses, techs, etc). Those 2 didn't do anything for me. I hadn't realized how much my feet were hurting until I put on a pair of Ghosts - the same ones I just wore through a 24hr shift.
