20%ish, but I'm less religious about it than dine-in
I tip more when it's a decent restaurant and they're packaging up sides in nice little containers and the like than when I'm getting a burrito to go. Getting to go food prepared and packaged well is well worth a good tip IMO

Every day for lunch and dinner I order takeout. Each meal is about $300 (I usually eat half, but being an OT baller i just throw it away). I usually just throw in an extra $100, no big deal.

You can always tell the people that think subway is take out in these threads. 
We get take out pretty regularly and all of our usual places know us fairly well. We never have messed up orders and we’re always treated really well as soon as we walk in the door. I appreciate good service especially in today’s service world.

$20 is appreciated by most service industry workers, no matter the tab for take out up to 5 meals.
Thereafter tip $4-$5 per meal and they’ll treat you right every time.

I don't tip at Sonic. It actually deters me from going there often bc I don't feel like I should have to tip at a fast food place, especially when I don't have a choice.
If I'm ordering from a restaurant, then I'll tip $5 flat unless it's some massive order I'm picking up for a dozen people. I'll do $10 or so. I don't base it off a percentage.

I worked in restaurants for the better part of 10 years, but it was a long time ago. I worked To-Go for Outback about 15 years ago. If I got $5 tips for every order, I would have been happy as hell.

I tip the Thai dude at my pad thai place a couple of bucks every time because he tries to talk about the Saints to me and it's pretty entertaining.
