Where are you guys finding 31" inseam jeans? 30" is too short most of the time and 32" is too long (I'm a hair under 6'). I don't think I've ever seen a 31" inseam. I usually just buy 32" slacks or chinos and have them tailored. But never really do that with jeans.

I wear my jeans the same way that I wear the rest of my pants. Is that wrong? For me that's just to the ankle. Unfortunately that would mean a 33" inseam and most off the rack pants only come in even sizes. I usually get a 32 and wear it low rather than a 34 and have it to the bottom of my shoe.

why can't a 32 always be a 32
Same idea as waist line.
Some companies want to make short people feel taller, and fat people skinny.

It's called stacking and I think that's how it supposed to look. I'm not posting my jeans pic again, that was a mistake. That's how you fade nice lines in them.
edit: seriously remember your audience. Telling a dude in the OT lounge who's asking how long jeans should be that it's okay to have jeans that are bunched up around his ankles is a bad idea because he's not going to look like he's stacking his jeans. He's going to look bad.

No shite. At first I just consciously gathered them above my calves to dictate where the creases set while I finished my shite around the house. At 5 months they're fairly set, but I have a couple by my knees that I wish hadn't formed so well. Oh well, next pair...

What is your preferred length of jeans?
No clue. I haven't worn a pair of jeans since the early 1990's while I was in college.

6'3 but I wear a 30. Weird long arse torso.
Yeah, bodies can be weird. I'd rather have a longer torso, though. I'm 5'11", but I wear 31's perfectly. So, my torso looks kind of short. I hate the way it looks, to be honest.

Are you a woman? My wife has longer jeans for heels and shorter jeans for flats. I buy 32" length.

Full break jeans, medium break on tux, suit and slacks
I'm 6'0 225lbs athletic build that squats I wear 36 / 32 pants. Waist is actually 34 but legs and butt dont allow it.

That's why I started buying the relaxed fit pants. Regular cut jeans fit like skinny jeans on me.

I wore jeans last Friday for the first time in maybe 3 years.
