According to the article:

"The Shahada is the Islamic Creed, “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”

The Thomas More Law Center said that for non-Muslims, reciting the statement is sufficient to convert one to Islam."

Does this mean that I just converted to Islam because I read that line in the article???

Sarcasm intended. That author of that article isn't a journalist. I can't believe a single word of an article published in the FoxNewsOpinion that was written by someone whose writing style shows a clear bias.

No clue. I haven't worn a pair of jeans since the early 1990's while I was in college.

I refused to have surgery until the whole incontinence issue showed up. After dealing with that for a few weeks, I knew it was time for surgery.

What is your opinion on this.

I think you may have a little too much free time.

5 WRs so that you can have starters after you trade 1 or 2 away

This may work in some leagues, but in the leagues where I play (12-team), WRs don't have much trade value because there are usually decent WR options available on the waiver wire.
Going with best available. I've always used that strategy. I've won three championships and have never missed the playoffs using that strategy, so I'm not changing that strategy now.
Pretty sure Glassman would tell you that both of these are vulgar.

I've only gone to Bacchus Bash and never made it to Endymion Extravaganza. I have some friends in Bacchus, so it was fun going once. I didn't have enough fun to want to go back.
It's gotten to the point that I can't handle any of WWL's radio hosts for more than a few minutes. I just listen to podcasts now.

Typically I tip 20%-25%.

I've never been to Applebee's because I've never heard anything positive about it, but I'll be sure to try their damn sweet tea if I ever go.
LSU versus Florida State in 1989. I sat directly behind the FSU band and they played that horrible war chant the entire game. Peter Tom Willis picked the LSU defense apart with short passes and we lost 31-21. We started the season ranked in the top 10 and finished 4-7 that year.

I was a freshman in high school at the time and vowed that I would never attend Florida State because of that ridiculous chant.

This.

Last year, the winner of the championship won by one point. That same day, he started calling the commish about his money. Our commish told the winner that he was out of town with his family for the holidays, but would give him the winnings after he got back in town.

The winner flipped out. He emailed everyone in the league repeatedly, telling us that the commish was trying to pocket the money. The commish gave him the money after he got back from vacation. He also informed the winner that we had all voted out of the league.

#3 because every non-drinker I have ever met just can't wait to tell me they don't drink.

I don't drink because I was a raging alcoholic, but I don't broadcast it. When I'm offered a drink, I just thank them for the offer, but tell them I'm the designated driver. No need to make people feel bad for trying to give me something.

"I can't have a drink because I used to be a raging alcoholic."

A few times, people have repeatedly offered me a drink and have told me that they won't want to take no as an answer. That's when I tell them that I was a raging alcoholic. This results in them trying to make awkward apologies. I tell them that they didn't do anything wrong, but they usually feel bad it anyway.

I went to LSU at the same time as Jamie Howard. After a particularly rough game by Howard, I was bashing him that Monday morning in class. A friend next to me told me to shut up and then he pointed behind him. Jamie Howard was sitting behind me in class that day. He was looking right at me and obviously heard everything I said. I tried to apologize, but he told me not to worry about it.

That's the last time I bashed an LSU player.

I'd rather move to another state than live in Monroe, Alexandria, or Shreveport.

Have you had to look a man or woman in the eye and tell them they no longer have a job? No longer have a income to feed their kids?

Yes. Quite a few times.

How did you handle it emotionally?

Relieved. Every one of them was given multiple chances to improve job performance, but the ones I fired never improved. If they had done that, I wouldn't have had to fire them.
I have no idea what any of my friends make. They have no idea what I make. It's not something we discuss.
A friend of mine set me up on a blind date with his girlfriend's roommate for the first home game of my freshman year at LSU. My date sounded just like Fran Drescher and she talked nonstop. She alternated between talking about herself and complaining about her ex-boyfriend.

I was trying to be nice, but eventually had enough. After the game, she wanted me to bring her to The Varsity, but I told her that I was going home because her nonstop talking gave me a headache. I ran into her a few hours later at Murphy's. She was pissed because I didn't bring her out after the game. I told her that she was the most annoying person I had ever met. She started screaming at me, saying that I was as bad as her ex. The bouncers showed up and told her that she had to leave. She tried to hit one of them, so the other bouncer picked her up, carried her out of the bar, and threw her on the sidewalk.

I saw her on campus a few times after that. Every time I saw her, she told me to give her a call so we could have a second date.

What's the low down on this place ? Some of the people seem pretty well off, and some people seem like they don't have a bucket to shite in.

It's a mixed-income development. The rent isn't cheap if you pay full price, but there is a pretty good number of people living there under Section 8.
