That wasn't broadcast live IIRC
I stand corrected, it was a 3 hour tape delay. I never knew this

Good post, mate. Maybe the Election Night 2000 - the calling FL for Gore unethically (b/c the central time zone portions of FL are so heavily Republican) and then having it back to Retard and then chaos for like 27 days.

My first "holey shite" moment on live tv was watching Ruby shoot Oswald. I believe it was the first live shooting on tv at the time.

I was in fifth grade for 9/11 so I dont remember too much....
I'd say either Khris Davis' return against Bama, watching a UStream during the Ferguson riots or yeah, seeing that guy tweet out the first person view of the murder the other day. That was nuts.

Every kid in my school was shocked and disappointed when our teachers wouldn't let us watch the Challener launch at school. When I got home, my mom explained that's why they wouldn't let us watch.
Celebration at the Berlin Wall coming down and other moments during the end of the Cold War are probably the first truly historic moments I remember watching live.

Fox News televised a police chase on Shepherds show and the guy got out, ran to some field and blew his head off. I couldn't get that image out of my head for a while.

I was in music class in elementary school, didn't see the launch, but I remember my 5th hour teacher coming in and saying it had blown up. It meant something to them because it was supposed to be the first teacher in space

The OJ verdict
The recent Fox News Republican debate. It was surreal.

Rodney King verdict riots were 100 times those of ferguson. Reginald Denny getting hit in the head by that brick was just sickening.

My roommate's girlfriend woke me up to tell me they were attacking NYC with remote controlled airplanes. She wasn't very bright.

9/11. Met up with my roommate after we found out in the union theater. We were watching when the second plane hit.
Watching Katrina was pretty surreal
Tracy Porter. I cried. Not ashamed.
